Article Marketing - Creating Your Article

|

If you have a hard time getting the word out about your business web site, or if your business presence on the web is not what it could be; you might want to consider some article marketing to generate some traffic, and give your business a jump start.

Article marketing is an extremely effective way of capturing people's attention, funnel traffic, and generating backlinks to your business website, or affiliate landing pages.

If you know how to write, creating your article is as simple as writing to your family member or business associate.

The only difference is that you will be writing to your online audience, and trying to convey your message as clearly, and as concisely as possible.

  • What is your business, or website about?
  • Who is going to be your target market?
  • What is the ultimate focus of your article?
  • Why is your article being written?
With Internet writing, there are rules that you must follow in order to become successful.

When creating your article, remember these three principals and use them as a guide in your writing.
  • Readability
  • Helping Your Reader
  • Informing Your Audience

Write Brief Paragraphs

Your articles must be written to provide easy readability for your target audience.

The people who search the web for information don't really have a lot of time to waste reading lengthy articles. They will scan your article, and if they find it interesting, or useful, they will come back and read it in its entirety.

The web is packed with information about the subject you are writing about, so unless you can quickly capture your reader's attention and hold it, they will search elsewhere.

Writing a brief highly informative article, loaded with specific details, can do that.

Submit Your Article

Article submission sites are the best way to get your article read on the Internet.

Ezinearticles.com, and goarticles.com are high ranking article submission sites that have huge volumes of traffic where you can benefit most from your article marketing.

As a general rule, keep your articles in the 400 to 600 word category, and try not to exceed 1000 words unless you are writing a technical article. Each site will have guidelines for you to follow in your writing.

Resource Box

Never forget to fill out the author's bio box, or resource box, when you are finished creating your article.

This is where you create links to your blog, website, or landing page.

Include your name, your business, what action you want your readers to take, and a link to your site. This is where the backlinks to your site, and web traffic is generated from, so be particularly careful creating this area.
